Dear Colleagues, The fifth Quantum BioInorganic Chemistry Conference (QBIC-V) will be held from 8 to 10 July 2019 in Marseille, France. We invite you to participate to this event that will focus on computational inorganic and bioinorganic chemistry, covering theoretical methods, novel applications, and combined computational/experimental approaches, bringing together leading figures from both computational and experimental fields. Plenary speakers: Frank Neese (Max-Planck-Institut fuer Kohlenforschung, Germany) Carlo Adamo (Chemistry Institute of Paris, France) Keynote speakers: Leonardo Guidoni (University of L'Aquila, Italy) Maja Gruden (University of Belgrade, Serbia) Pascale Maldivi (CEA Grenoble, France) Sam de Visser (University of Manchester, United Kingdom) Wesley Browne (University of Groningen, The Netherlands) Maria Joao Ramos (University of Porto, Portugal) Maxie Roessler (Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom) FrenchBIC session speakers: Catherine Belle (University of Grenoble, France) Paul Walton (University of York, UK) Several slots are available for oral communications. PhD students and early-career researchers are particularly encouraged to apply. Prizes for poster and oral contributions will be awarded to young scientists thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry (posters) and ACS Inorganic Chemistry (talks). Early-bird fees (300 euros for students and 400 euros for academics) are available until April 10th. QBIC-V is an official satellite meeting of the 9th Molecular Quantum Mechanics Conference (MQM-19, Heidelberg, Germany), and of the 19th International Conference on Biological Inorganic Chemistry (ICBIC-19, Interlaken, Switzerland). More information can be found at: https://www.qbicv.cnrs.fr. We look forward to meeting you at the wonderful city of Marseille!
