Subject: 13.07.10 User Workshop for Q-Chem to be held in South Korea in conjunction with the 6th APCTCC Conference
Dear Colleagues, Q-Chem would like to invite you to a user workshop in conjunction with the Sixth Asia-Pacific Conference of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry (APCTCC 6, http://apctcc6.postech.ac.kr/) in Gyeongju, Korea. The workshop will be held from 1:00 to 6:00pm on Wednesday, July 10. Q-Chem is a comprehensive ab initio software package, and the Q-Chem 4.1 release includes the latest theoretical/computational advances from Q-Chem's over 150 developers. At the workshop, we will invite prominent scientists such as Profs. Peter Gill (Australian National University), Cherri Hsu (Academia Sinica, Taiwan), Yousung Jung (KAIST, Korea), and Young Min Rhee (POSTECH, Korea) to provide an overview of the Q-Chem software package, with an emphasis on: - new density functional theory (DFT) and wavefunction theory (WFT) based methods for ground-state and excited-states; - new tools for studying chemical reactions; - application of quantum chemistry methods in energy and materials research; - simulating photochemical processes in biological systems; - electron and energy transfer; - and the IQmol user graphic interface, which has been fully integrated with Q-Chem. All workshop participants will receive a free four-month license for unlimited use of Q-Chem 4.1. Space is limited to 50 registrants, so please register as soon as possible. Workshop participants can also sign up for one-to-one meetings with one of our speakers. We look forward to seeing you in Korea.
