Postdoctoral Training Fellow

Salary Details:35,844 to 48,224 Dependent on relevant Postdoctoral experience. Future progression is based on annual performance review. If the candidate has not yet been awarded their PhD, the starting salary will be at 35,844 until the successful completion of their viva.
Contract:Fixed term
Hours per week: 35 hours per week (Full Time)

Job Details
Under the leadership of Dr. Andrea Scarpino, we are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Training Fellow to join the In Silico Medicinal Chemistry group within the Division of Cancer Therapeutics to support and accelerate drug discovery projects by applying innovative computational chemistry methods. Group members work in close collaboration with in-house experts in chemistry, biology, biological assays, structural chemistry, structural biology, DMPK and bioinformatics on projects at all stages of drug discovery, from early target validation and chemical hit finding, through to lead optimisation and candidate selection.

Key Requirements
The successful candidate must have a PhD in computational chemistry or a related field as well as a wide-ranging knowledge and experience in the use of computational chemistry methods.

The ICR has a workforce agreement stating that Postdoctoral Training Fellows can only be employed for up to 7 years as PDTF at the ICR, providing total postdoctoral experience (including previous employment at this level elsewhere) does not exceed 10 years.
