The positions are available immediately for an initial one-year contract that are renewable upon mutual agreement to work on a 3-year industry sponsored project. The project is an exciting collaborative and multi-disciplinary project to develop new materials for CO2 capture, involving process engineers, machine learning specialists, computational chemists/materials scientists, and synthetic chemists from the sponsor. There are also opportunities to intern with the sponsor. Publications resulting from the project are a priority. Candidates with a proven track-record in one or more of the following areas are being sought after: computational materials science, high-throughput screening, electronic structure theory development, molecular simulation (MD/MC), and machine learning. Although candidates with different skills sets are being sought after for different aspects of the project, scientific programming skills are required for all open positions. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in computational chemistry, computational materials science/engineering or computational physics.
