The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the UNT System College of Pharmacy is located at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, ranked among the top 50 medical schools for seven consecutive years, the UNTHSC is a 33-acre graduate school located in the citys Cultural District with a local economic impact of $500 million annually. The UNT System College of Pharmacy is the first pharmacy school in Texas located on an academic health science center campus.

A postdoctoral fellow position in computational biology/chemistry is available in the lab of Dr. Jin Liu in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. We are looking for a creative, independent and highly motivated individual to join our team.

Job Duties:

• Apply machine learning to drug discovery, biomolecular simulations, and protein engineering on CRISPR-Cas systems
• Participate in student training
• Participate in other projects as assigned
• Presentation of project results to internal and external parties
• Work independently and as a team member

Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate doctoral degree. If the degree had not been conferred at the time applicant applied for a postdoc position, a letter needs to be attached from the schools official Graduate Office and/or Registrars Office certifying that all requirements for the degree have been met and stating the degree conferral date.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, biology, or related field. A strong background in computational biology/chemistry (e.g. molecular dynamics simulations) and machine learning is essential.
