The newly created Scientific Computing group in Crop Protection Research is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and talented postdoc in cheminformatics. The ideal candidate follows the newest advances in the field of cheminformatics, machine learning, computational chemistry, and molecular simulations and is eager to translate new concepts into solutions that enhance the discovery of active ingredients. Role Purpose:

  • Develop cheminformatics workflows that support the design and analysis of active ingredients
  • Be at the forefront of cheminformatics technologies
  • Deploy innovative approaches through interactive web interfaces
  • Leverage on recent advances in machine learning

Your responsibilities include, (but not limited to):

  • Work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with industry and academia
  • Champion exploration of new cheminformatics technologies and methods to enhance Research activities
  • Automation of workflows spanning the design, synthesis, test, analysis cycle.


  • PhD in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, informatics, or bioinformatics.
  • Good programming skills in Python
  • Experience with solving cheminformatics tasks
  • Experience with workflow tools such as KNIME or Pipeline Pilot is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
