Postdoctoral position

Applications are invited for one postdoctoral position and one PhD student 
opening at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), 
Center of Computational and Data Intensive Science and Engineering. 
The project explores interfacial thermodynamics and transport at 
hydrocarbon interfaces with aqueous solutions and geological solids. 
 
Academic Qualifications:

X    PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field (Chemistry, Physics...)
X    Solid background in bulk and interfacial thermodynamics and transport
X    Solid background in applied math (linear algebra, differential 
     equations) at the level of appropriate university courses 
X    Experience in classical molecular simulation methods 
     (molecular dynamics and/or Monte Carlo) and a reasonable knowledge 
     of appropriate simulation software (e.g. LAMMPS, Towhee etc) is 
     a must;
X    Solid programming skills required; proficiency in scripting languages 
     is a plus.
X    Good communication skills (spoken English, proven record of 
     scientific writing)
X    Background and experience in continuous thermodynamics and transport 
     modeling is a plus

PhD student opportunity 

The project is focused on developing techniques for modeling structure 
and rheology of complex colloid systems

Academic Qualifications:

X    MS degree in Chemistry, Physics or Chemical Engineering.
X    Solid background in bulk and interfacial thermodynamics and transport
X    Solid knowledge in applied math (linear algebra, differential 
     equations) at the level of regular university courses
X    Reasonable programming skills required; proficiency in scripting 
     languages is a plus.
X    language/communication skills: ability to take courses in English, 
     defend your point of view, interact with researchers outside your 
     immediate area of study
X    Experience in classical molecular simulation methods (molecular 
     dynamics and/or Monte Carlo) and a reasonable knowledge of 
     appropriate simulation software (e.g. LAMMPS, Towhee etc ) is a plus;
X    Background and experience in continuous thermodynamics and 
     transport modeling is a plus

Skoltech offers attractive stipend and benefits. English is the working 
language of Skoltech. Knowledge of Russian is helpful, but not required.
