Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow in Molecular Simulation Division of Biomedical Science and Biochemistry, Research School of Biology, College of Medicine, Biology and Environment, The Australian National University 24 Month fixed term, full time appointment Postdoctoral Fellow($68,307 to $86,646 pa) or Research Fellow ($94,287 to $107,381 pa) + 17% Superannuation You could be part of the research team discovering new treatments for conditions such as chronic pain and epilepsy, through a better understanding of precisely how pain relief drugs effect the body. Alternatively you could be part of a project designing synthetic nanostructured membranes for water purification and separation technologies. We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to contribute to one of two ongoing projects being undertaken by the Computational Biophysics Group of Associate Professor Ben Corry at the Australian National University. Please frame your application to the level at which you are applying (Academic Level A or B) and toward one of the following areas of research: (i) The structure and function of biological voltage-gated sodium channels and how they can be targeted by novel anaesthetic and antiepileptic drugs, or (ii) The design of synthetic nanostructured membranes for water purification and separation technologies, and a study of the fundamentals of flow and selectivity in confined spaces.
