Subject: 17.01.31 Postdoc / Senior Scientist Position in Computational Membrane Biophysics, Erlangen, Germany
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in theoretical and computational membrane biophysics in the Computational Biology Group of Rainer Bckmann at the University of Erlangen-Nrnberg, Germany (www.biomemphys.nat.fau.de). Projects focus on lipid-protein interaction, membrane dynamics, membrane phase transition, structure-dynamics-function relationship of channels using atomistic and coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations. Candidates should preferably have a Ph.D. in computational/theoretical physics/chemistry, a good knowledge of statistical mechanics and programming skills. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility to extend to up to five years. The postdoc/senior scientist may join the Research Training Group Dynamic Interactions at Biological Membranes (www.biomembranes.org) and is given the opportunity for a habilitation.
Interested candidates should send one pdf document containing a letter of intent outlining past research and current research interests and and a cv to rainer.boeckmannatfau.de.NOTE THAT E-MAIL ADDRESSES HAVE BEEN MODIFIED!!!
