Subject: 16.11.29 Researcher in Computer-aided Drug Design, Uppsala University, Sweden
The position is available from the 1st of February 2017 in Jens Carlsson's group at Uppsala University, Sweden. Jens Carlsson's research focuses on using molecular modeling to study protein-ligand interactions, in particular for G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). The GPCR superfamily constitutes the largest group of human membrane proteins and plays key roles in physiological processes. The Carlsson group uses structure-based modeling to understand receptor function and to design ligands of these pharmaceutically important targets, often in close collaboration with experimental groups. The Carlsson lab is a young and international research team that recently joined Uppsala University and is also part of the Science for Life Laboratory (http://www.scilifelab.se/). Visit the group web page for more information about the Carlsson lab's research (www.carlssonlab.org).
