As a member of the Research and Development team, working full-time in our downtown office in Montreal, Canada, you will apply your expert algorithmic ability, programming skills, and scientific domain knowledge to help build, extend, and maintain CCGs products. In this role, you will take projects through from conception to release, creating new applications as well as maintaining and extending existing code. Plan to become an expert in SVL, the scientific vector language, and to deepen or acquire expertise across the domains of computational and medicinal chemistry and biologics. Expect to have opportunities to create talks and present them at conferences, and to interact with clients. Chemical Computing Group (CCG) is a life science software company that provides state-of the-art drug discovery software for major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the world. Main Responsibilities: - Research, implement, verify, and optimize new approaches to computer-assisted drug discovery - Design, implement, test, validate and maintain applications and extensions to CCG products - Write specifications, technical documentation, scientific reports and scientific articles - Create and give scientific or technical presentations - Interact with customers at meetings and conferences in North America and overseas - Provide scientific and technical assistance to the scientific support team Skills and Experience: - Five (5) or more years experience in scientific programming, computational modeling, or applied mathematics - Strong familiarity with molecular modeling software (computational and GUI) - Working experience in 3D graphics, GUI design, networks, graph theory, databases, and cross-platform techniques is an asset - Expert knowledge in the domain of computational chemistry and molecular modeling, such as cheminformatics, protein and antibody modeling, bioinformatics, biologics, and forcefield development is an asset Requirements: - Exceptional programming skills - MSc/PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Structural Biology - Professional experience with complex algorithmic development and programming - Professional experience with methods development, implementation, and validation Please send your resume and cover letter by email to ccgjobs---chemcomp.com, with R&D SCI in the subject line.
