Working full-time in our downtown Montreal, Canada office, you will
assist in building, improving, and maintaining CCGs scientific web
applications. This is a hands-on role in Research & Development where
you will develop computational and medicinal chemistry software and
web-based applications across the full-stack of our multi-application
platform.  As a front-end specialist, youll have a focus on HTML5,
CSS3, and JavaScript, with some exposure to REST and SOAP techniques
and server-side and client-side profiling and optimization processes.
Plan to have opportunities to expand your technical capabilities to
deeper levels of the stack beyond JS/CSS while maintaining a focus on
the front-end code, and to develop expertise in the computational
chemistry / cheminformatics domain.

Chemical Computing Group (CCG) is a life science software company that
provides state-of-the-art drug discovery software for major
pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the world. 

Main Responsibilities:
- Write client-side code for computationally intensive web-based 
  science applications including UI, data management and client-server
  communication;
- Implement code from functional requirements;
- Confirm program operation with testing; modify program logic and
  perform performance tuning;
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability;
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases;
- Assist in server maintenance and setup.

Skills and Experience:
- Professional experience with programming complex applications;
- Functional knowledge of algorithms and fundamental programming
  techniques;
- Functional knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and AJAX;
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git;
- Responsive design experience is an asset;
- Knowledge of network communications is an asset;
- Experience in a chemistry-related scientific domain is an asset.

Requirements:
- Proven working experience in scientific and web programming;
- B.Sc. in computer science or a  related field;
- Graduate studies (M.Sc., Ph.D.) or equivalent work experience is an
  asset.
