Postdoctoral Research Associate positions Division of Chemical and Biological Sciences Ames Laboratory (USDOE), Iowa State University The Division of Chemical and Biological Sciences at the Ames Laboratory, a Department of Energy National Laboratory affiliated with Iowa State University, is searching for qualified Postdoctoral Research candidates to fill four Postdoctoral Research Associate positions available within the GAMESS and NWChem Exascale Computing Projects. Research activities will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Mark Gordon (GAMESS) and Dr. Theresa Windus (NWChem). Both projects involve a multi-investigator interdisciplinary team involved in the redesign, engineering and application of computational methods. All positions require the completion of a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or related field, with experience in the development and coding of high performance computing methods prior to the appointment. Experience coding in multiple programming languages, software cycles, modern computer architectures and use of repository software is preferred. All areas of quantum chemistry will be considered, but experience with coupled cluster methods for one of the positions (NWChem) is preferred, and experience with fragmentation methods for one of the positions (GAMESS) is preferred.
