This position will involve managing existing accounts as well as finding new opportunities for geographic Account Managers and will be located in our New York City or Cambridge, MA office. Schroedinger, Inc. is seeking an ambitious and talented Inside Sales Representative, responsible for selling our software and services primarily by telephone and through developing campaigns with our field sales team. Our software is being used by thousands of scientists around the world to discover drugs. We work with hundreds of innovative companies from startups to Fortune 100 organizations. In this role you will sell Schroedingers software and services in the US+ Commercial market. You will engage Schroedingers prospective customers and qualify them for further business opportunities. In addition you will manage a number of existing Schroedinger customers. Are you a confident communicator with excellent phone skills, customer service skills and have the ability to persuasively present Schroedingers computational chemistry software to scientists. Youll also work closely with members of Schroedingers Services, Marketing and Development teams to strategize on account growth, prepare proposals and share customer needs & successes. Responsibilities You will work with other members of the Sales and Services teams. Primary responsibilities will include: - Manage existing small to medium size existing Schroedinger accounts. - Follow up on inquiries generated through existing web and marketing programs. - Prospect, develop and qualify new opportunities. - Work closely with the Application Scientists team to qualify prospects, answer technical questions and conduct product demonstrations. - Maintain detailed records of calls and information requests sent in the Sales database. - Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company. Required Qualifications - Will be located in New York City or Cambridge, MA. - Bachelor's degree in a Life Science major. - 2+ years sales experience in the scientific software industry (preferably chemistry or biology). - Exceptional track record of quota and goal achievement. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere. - Strong verbal / written communication skills. - Ability to engage potential clients and communicate effectively via telephone and WebEx. - Strong listening skills -Willingness to share ideas openly and take direction from others. - Experience with customer relationship management databases.
