Protein Scientist, Computational Biology

Schrödinger, a technology leader specializing in software solutions for life science research and development, is seeking an exceptionally talented computational protein scientist to join our New York-based biologics team, working on the development of novel algorithms and tools to enhance our capabilities in state-of-the-art structure-based drug design. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of method development, sound programming experience, and familiarity with the various algorithms and computational methods that aid modern protein engineering efforts. An important role will be close collaboration with inter-disciplinary groups from academic labs and/or industrial partners that span the spectrum of development and application.

Required qualifications include:

  • PH.D. in computational Biology, Biophysics or related fields
  • Programming experience (Python, C/C++)
  • Peer-reviewed publications in relevant fields

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Experience working with proteins / peptides
  • Familiarity with methods and algorithms used in the context of protein design
  • Experience in molecular dynamics
