To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Thu Jan 21 20:45:20 2010 Subject: 10.01.21 Postdoc, Biomolecular Simulations, University of Connecticut A position is available for a postdoctoral researcher to work in the laboratory of Dr. Jose Gascon in the department of Chemistry at University of Connecticut. The candidate must have expertise in Molecular Dynamics simulations of proteins. Expertise in QM/MM calculations is a plus, although not required. Programming and scripting experience is expected. Our general goal is to obtain a first principles understanding of structure and activity in proteins and enzymes at the detailed molecular level. The postdoc will work on a number of projects and is expected to interact with graduate and undergraduate students working in the Lab. The position is for one year, with the possibility of renewing for a second year upon mutual agreement. The position will start in Fall 2010.
