Subject: 09.11.26 Postdoc Position in Membrane Protein Modeling
Laboratory of Biomodelling offers challenging research position 
in the of network of twelve European laboratories and three industrial 
partners within 7FP Marie-Curie Initial Training Network Structural 
Biology of Membrane Proteins (http://www.sbmp-itn.eu/). 

Job Description: 
Development of computational methods for docking and simulation 
of membrane proteins like G-protein-coupled receptors and membrane 
proteases using coarse-grain approaches. No prior knowledge about 
coarse-grain methods is required. This work will be performed in 
close collaboration with other members of the team. Work in a young 
and enthusiastic group of modelers. 

Expectations from the candidate:
- Experience in the development of computer simulation methods applied 
to biomolecular systems including working knowledge of Molecular 
Mechanics and Dynamics program codes (CHARMM, GROMACS or NAMD).
- Programming abilities (C, C++, Fortran, scripting languages) under 
Linux. 
Advantageous: parallelization of the code.
- Very good communication skills in English, fast and effective knowledge 
assimilation, a passion toward modeling. 

Eligibility (important):
(i) The applicant must be within the first 5 years of their career in 
research (including PhD study).
(ii) Holders of Polish nationality have to legally have resided and had 
main activity in non-EU-associated country (Switzerland, USA, Canada, 
Japan etc.) for at least 3 of the last 4 years immediately prior to the 
recruitment.
(iii) Holders of non-Polish nationality must not have resided or carried 
out main activity in Poland for more than 12 months in the 3 years 
immediately prior to the recruitment.

Salary according to FP 7 Marie Curie Programme regulations for experienced 
researchers (about 33.000 EUR/year, no tax, social security covered).
