ALTORIS develops software and provides consulting services to make advances 
in discovery informatics accessible to scientists and other professionals in 
the life sciences. We aim to empower individual scientists with tools to 
sift through the massive data streams common in life sciences research, to 
focus on the most relevant data, reduce dataset complexity and enable users 
to generate and communicate the knowledge that advances drug discovery 
programs.

THE POSITION: We are looking for a versatile individual who works best 
independently on a broad range of projects that will eventually lead to 
publications. The projects are in Chemical Information Management and will
specifically be centered on the applications of chemotyping.

THE CANDIDATES: We are looking for a Ph.D. in computational chemistry, 
medicinal chemistry or physical chemistry, with a good grasp of the 
challenges of software development for chemical applications OR and M.Sc.
with equivalent experience.  The candidate must have good programming skills
in particular using C++, this is an essential requisite. Knowledge of 
statistics and chemoinformatics are also important. Demonstrated ability to 
work independently is needed.Ideally, the candidate should be local to 
Southern California, since we will not cover relocation expenses, but
for some experienced candidates working remotely may be possible.
