The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) located at the foothills
of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado is the nations primary 
laboratory for research, development and deployment of renewable energy 
and energy efficiency technologies. NRELs National Bioenergy Center has 
an immediate opening for a full time (40 hours per week) Postdoctoral 
Researcher in Computational Biochemistry.
The candidate will be involved in the molecular modeling of plant 
microfibrils. New methods of simulation will be developed by the 
candidate to extend both the size and time scale of simulations of 
these systems by a factor of 100 or more. Structural and functional 
properties of these large-scale units will be studied and determined 
using high-performance computing facilities. The work will involve both 
the development and application of scientific theory, and the generation 
of computer program code for its implementation.

Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a recent Ph.D. graduate with in the last three years. 

A recent PhD in Computational Chemistry is required. The position 
requires the knowledge of statistical mechanical methods in molecular 
dynamics, scientific programming in FORTRAN, fluency in using CHARMM, 
and exceptional skills in molecular model building and validation. The 
candidate is also required to have good communication skills in English. 
Preference will be given to those with experience using low-resolution 
models and high-performance computers and clusters.
