Open postdoctoral position in the Department of Chemistry at the Darmstadt
University of Technology (TUD-Germany) in the general area of computational 
Physical Chemistry and molecular modeling. The position is for one year, 
renewable upon mutual agreement and available immediately.

Project: Theory development and numerical simulations of pattern formation
in Biomineralization processes -a common research project of the TUD 
and the Max-Planck Institut for Chemical Physics of solids (Dresden, 
Germany).
Candidates will be screened according to their research track record in 
one or more of the following disciplines: theoretical chemistry, 
bioinformatics, physics, biophysics, computer sciences or related disciplines.. 
Important is a strong background in advanced scientific computing 
and programming, experience in molecular modeling techniques is a plus. 
The candidate should be capable of independent research and 
should have excellent writing and communication skills.
Applicants will have the possibility to develop new theoretical 
methods and implement these methods in computer programs. 
Experience in C/C++, scripting, numerical optimization and 
visualization (OpenGL) is a plus.
