The general research direction is the development of the implicit solvent methodology. We are also interested in atomistic models of DNA flexibility Requirements: Broad expertise in computational chemistry (not just QM), physics or biophysics, especially biomolecular electrostatics. Background in classical MD simulations. Programming skills. Experience in MD simulations of the DNA is a plus. The geographical location of Virginia Tech. (Blacksburg, Virginia) offers a low cost living environment, moderate climate, scenic surroundings, and proximity to a variety of natural resources.
