Subject: 08.06.18 Postdoctoral Position in Computational Biophysics, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City, USA
A postdoctoral position in Computational Biophysics is available
immediately in the research group of Dr. Marta Filizola at Mount
Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Major research activities
in the lab focus on achieving a detailed mechanistic understanding
of signal transduction processes triggered by molecular recognition
by means of computational methodologies that range from bioinformatics
to modeling and simulation. This understanding is a critical step in
the rational drug discovery process. For additional information,
please refer to the Filizola Lab homepage at
http://atlas.physbio.mssm.edu/filizola/

The ideal candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Biophysics,
Theoretical/Computational Chemistry, or a related discipline. He/She will
be expected to work on NIH funded projects focused on understanding
structural, dynamic and electronic determinants of biological mechanisms
underlying physiological functions. Extensive experience with Molecular
Dynamics and Monte Carlo methods is desirable.
Qualified applicants should send a CV and at least 2 reference names
by email to Dr. Marta Filizola at marta.filizola[-]mssm.edu.
Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
