A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the area of computer
simulations of chemical reactions in condensed phase at the Department of
Chemistry, The University of Western Ontario, London, ON Canada.

The research projects focus on the development of novel methods for 
studying chemical reactions in condensed phase modelled at the molecular 
level. A relevant article is ``Detecting reaction pathways and computing 
reaction rates in condensed phase'', S. Consta, Theoretical Chemistry 
Accounts, vol. 116, pp. 373-382, 2006.

The projects will also involve applications in systems important for 
chemistry and biochemistry. The reactions are investigated using methods 
of Molecular Dynamics, Monte Carlo and methods of mixed quantum-classical
dynamics.

The requirements for the candidates are:
Strong knowledge of free energy and chemical reaction rate simulation 
techniques and their application in molecular simulations;
Extensive experience with Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo methods;
Solid computer skills (knowledge of scripting and programming languages,
experience with high performance computing facilities ).
