A postdoctoral position for one or more years is immediately available in
the group of Professor Y.-S. Amy Liu in the Department of Chemical
Engineering at University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  The research associate
will work jointly with Professor Wu Xu in Chemistry. Current funded research
projects include a QM/MM study of two key enzymes in 1,3-propanediol
production from glycerol, and MEMS-based calorimetry systems. Candidate for 
this position is expected to work mainly for the QM/MM project using
SYBYL (for molecular dynamics simulation) and Gaussion (for QM/MM
calculations). The research associate will also work with other group 
members to set up a new microfluidics lab.

Applicants should have a background in quantum chemistry and molecular
dynamics, including experience with SYBYL and Gaussian, with a Ph.D.
in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. The initial
appointment will be for one year with the possibility of extension for
