Molecular modeling of gas hydrate expansion

University of Pittsburgh, USA

A postdoctoral position is available May 1, 2008 in the laboratory of 
Professor Gerald Holder (University of Pittsburgh).  The project involves
molecular simulations of various gas hydrates in order to compute the 
thermal expansivities.  This project is funded by the U. S. Department 
of Energy and entails collaboration with the National Energy Technology
Laboratory.  The position is for one year with possibility of renewal
depending on performance and funding availability.  Qualified candidates 
will hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering or a related
field and have expertise in writing and running molecular dynamics 
simulations codes to simulate aqueous systems.
