Join Accelrys, a leading provider of scientific business intelligence 
software to the world's major pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical 
and materials development organisations and take responsibility for 
acquiring, maintaining and retaining key chemicals, materials and 
manufacturing clients throughout Europe with a particular focus on 
enterprise informatics solutions for this marketplace.

Responsible for account development, proposing and presenting Accelrys 
solutions and closing the sales of software and services this represents 
a significant opportunity with Accelrys as we embark on our next phase of 
market growth. 

Able to fully understand the needs of our customers and prospects you 
are highly competent at selling and successfully closing new business 
in the pharmaceutical and/or chemicals, materials and manufacturing 
sectors. You have executive-selling skills to enable you to build 
account relationships at director and senior management level and 
can also engage tactically within divisional or departmental groups. 
A hands-on, process driven sales professional, you are confident working 
with product managers to realize the growth potential of this market. You 
are able to deliver through recognised sales methodologies and capable of 
managing multi-level, multi-national sales opportunities and achieving 
and exceeding sales quotas on a quarterly basis.
 
While a background in the sciences vertical market or exposure to the 
sector would be valued, more important is your expert sales skills in a 
significant software company and an appreciation for business drivers of 
business intelligence orientated enterprise applications.

European and international travel will be a regular requirement of this 
role and will include overnight stays.

data across an organization, resulting in important efficiencies in the 
research and development process and the discovery of new products, 
therapeutics and materials.  

This market segment has been traditionally underserved by other 
traditional business intelligence vendors.  Our products and applications 
offer a plug-and-play scientific operating platform that improves 
productivity, decision-making, and research efficiency that unites 
diverse applications and databases.
