The Center for Bioinformatics Hamburg invites applications for the following 
position in the research group for Computational Molecular Design 
(Prof. Rarey), to begin on 1 June 2008:


Postdoc-position for a research scientist


within the project "Combating Drug Resistance in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia and 
HIV-1 Infection"

in Entgeltgruppe (renumeration group) 13 TV-L terminated by three years 
according to  2 Abs. 1 Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz.

The Research Group for Computational Molecular Design at the ZBH has an 
internationally high reputation for the development of new computational 
methods for pharmaceutical and biotechnological research. In cooperation with 
academic partners, new methods for Structure-based Molecular Design are to be 
developed and introduced into a real application-project (see also 
http://www.zbh.uni-hamburg.de/index.php?mode=_details&id=130 for project 
information). 

For the announced Postdoc-position, we expect a graduation in Chemistry, 
Biochemistry or Pharmacy, deep knowledge in computer-aided molecular 
design and a considerably practical experience in medicinal chemistry.
