This Fellow will perform applied research using condensed-phase 
DFT-based molecular-dynamics calculations (with VASP).  The application
is in the field of petroleum cracking; specifically, C-C bond-breaking
mechanisms of carbocations in zeolite and ionic liquid systems.  The
complexity of carbocation rearrangements makes the research exciting

     The applicant must have a Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry (or related
field) with very good grades, and should be familiar with:
   - traditional optimization (Gaussian or PQS programs)
   - molecular dynamics (VASP or other programs)
   - Solid-state theory (eg. Bravais lattices)
   - canonical and microcanonical ensembles
   - FORTRAN programming
   - Linux supercomputing.
Canadians and foreign-educated students are equally encouraged to apply.
Excellent English skills and scientific ethics are also essential.

Salary: Approximately CDN$38000/year, plus benefits.

Start date: anytime from June to September 2008.  The initial appointment
will be for 18 months, with a possible extension for a further 6 months.
