Currently, we are seeking the following: Cheminformatics: Medicinal Chemistry, Data Mining, Visualization In this position, you will work closely with medicinal chemists and other project team members to mine, visualize and analyze a tremendous wealth of in vitro and in vivo pharmacological, drug metabolism, and toxicology data. As a Therapeutic Area project team member, your work will enable project teams to make the highest-quality decisions, especially medicinal chemistry strategies and design. You will also work closely with other scientists in our Cheminformatics group, and experts in related fields, to develop and apply novel approaches to mine, visualize, and analyze the large and complex multidimensional data used by our project teams to discover innovative new medicines. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of strong scientific accomplishment in data mining and analysis, data visualization and medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, or a closely related discipline. Additionally, we’re looking for someone with experience with programming languages. Substantial development expertise with popular software tools and databases, such as Pipeline Pilot, Spotfire, Filemaker Pro and SQL, is highly desirable, as is broad expertise in cheminformatics applications, biostatistics, mathematics or other highly related fields.
