We are currently searching for an individual to be a contributor to the 
development and maintenance of our core molecular simulation software 
platform.  The successful applicant for this position should be able 
start in June 2008.

Required: (Applicants will not be considered without the following skills)

-PhD in Computational Chemistry or related discipline
-Demonstrated experience developing and implementing algorithms for
 Ab-initio combined Quantum Mechanics/Molecular Mechanics (QM/MM)
 Simulations
-Research experience in the development of molecular mechanics 
 force fields
-Strong knowledge of free energy simulation methods and its application
 in molecular simulations
-Extensive development experience in the C or Fortran programming
 language (short listed applicants will be required to submit sample
 code for evaluation)
-Ability to communicate in the English language (spoken and written)

Further skills: (The following skills are an asset to qualified applicants)

-Relevant postdoctoral experience performing biomolecular simulations
-Proficiency with the Linux and Mac operating systems
-Experience with perl, python, awk, shell and/or similar scripting
 languages
-Experience working on a high-performance clustered computing environment
-Knowledge of good software development practices (version control,
 unit testing, profiling)

Duties:

-Partake in the development and application of QM/MM simulation algorithms
-Work on the development of improved molecular simulation force fields
-Implement new software features requested by internal end-users
-Prepare patents and research publications
-Attend conferences in the relevant field
