Connexios Life Sciences is a drug discovery and development company based 
in Bangalore, the IT capital of India and an emerging hub in Biotechnology 
initiatives. Connexios was founded by an interdisciplinary group of 
scientist in 2003 with a vision for 21st century drug discovery.

The systems biology based drug discovery platform built by Connexios, 
incorporates relevant biological context at various stages of the drug 
discovery and development process. Connexios has a strong team of people 
from with expertise is diverse areas of science, technology and business. 
Its facilities include a mammalian cell culture facility, a microarray 
lab, a cell based assay development lab, a cell based screening platform, 
in-vitro ADME/Tox facility, collaboration for preclinical studies and a 
distributed computing environment for systems biology and computer aided 
drug design. 

Connexios is immediately looking for few motivated and dynamic scientists 
(Masters and PhD levels) for its Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD) group. 
The candidate should have a Masters or Ph D Degree from a reputed 
University or Institute and should possess extensive knowledge and 
experience on computational chemistry and molecular modeling leading to 
CADD. Candidates with any other specialized degree/diploma in the relevant 
fields are also encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate must have skills and experiences in one or more of 
the following areas
	Sound knowledge in protein -- ligand interactions (must), biophysics, 
        biochemistry, structural biology, bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry 
        and cheminformatics
	Computational chemistry and molecular modeling, MM/ MD calculations
	Working in an Unix environment

Having skills and experiences in one or more of the following areas will be 
an advantage
	Structure based and ligand based drug design
	Schrodingers suit programmes, MOE, CADD
	Packages such as Accelrys, SYBYL, Gaussian, CHARMM, AMBER and  VMD
	Similarity search, QSAR, ADME/Tox
	Cheminformatics, bioinformatics, protein structure prediction
	Small molecule database creation, management and usage
	Unix Shell scripts and Perl, Python programming
