The 2008 conference will feature speakers from related disciplines, 
offering a thought-provoking exchange of ideas. Registration is NOW OPEN 
for all interested scientists, from high school to retired, to attend this
conference.  It will be held on the beautiful campus of Northwestern 
University, Evanston. 

The ACTC meeting is held every three years and is widely attended by 
theoretical chemists from both the United States and abroad. This year 
the conference will feature some speakers from related disciplines whose 
work is of considerable importance to theoretical chemistry, thus further 
encouraging cross-fertilization. 

The invited speakers are among the leading scholars in their respective 
fields. The list of invited speakers includes a very diverse set of ages 
and interests. 

In addition to presentations by the invited speakers, two poster sessions 
have been scheduled as part of the conference program. A large meeting 
space has been reserved to accommodate both the posters and sponsors on 
the poster presentation days.

The following are among the topics to be presented at the at the 2008 
conference: Dynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Biochemistry, Materials, 
Nano/Info, Charge and Energy Transfer and Electronic Structure.

On-site registration begins on Saturday evening, July 19, 2008, along with
a Welcome Reception. Talks by the featured speakers begin on Sunday 
morning, July 20, at 8:30 a.m. with presentations and poster sessions 
continuing through 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 24. The conference also 
includes a closing Reception and Banquet on Wednesday, July 23 at the 
InterContinental Hotel located on Chicago’s famous Magnificent Mile. 
The dates for this conference have been chosen to enable participants 
to benefit from the most economical airfares.

In addition to an exciting and informative conference, several free blocks
of time have been built into the conference schedule, including one 
evening to accommodate a nighttime outing. Discount tickets will be 
available to local attractions and beaches.

There will be three oral presentations by students and postdocs.

Limited scholarship for graudate students are available.
