Materials Congress 2006 will be held in London on 5-7 April 2006. It will
be the fifth in a series of major materials conferences organised by the
Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. The first Congress was held
in 1998. Congress 2006 will be held at the same London venue which proved
so popular with delegates at previous events in 2002 and 2004.

Congress 2006 will cover the complete materials cycle, from minerals
exploration and extraction, through processing, product manufacture and
applications, to product recycling and land re-use.

Materials Congress 2006 is co-sponsored by the Institute of Physics, the
Geological Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry and supported by EPSRC
and FEMS.

Poster papers are currently being invited under the general themes listed
here. Oral papers will still be considered - contact Dawn Bonfield.

Programme
The Congress programme will combine technical symposia of oral
presentations with keynote speakers and six major plenary lectures
held over three <a href="http://www.iom3.org/congress/days" target="_blank">http://www.iom3.org/congress/days</a>, with poster sessions
and a full supporting programme of public lectures, exhibitions, 
special events and social meetings.</pre>
