Dear Netters,
List seems to be stable for a moment. So few reminders:

1) Before you send something to the list, be sure that you read and
   understood the "help" file for the list. It contains the info on
   policies and services.  To get the "help" file, send one-line message:
      send help from chemistry
   to OSCPOST@ccl.net or OSCPOST@OHSTPY.BITNET

2) If you have a REQUEST (subscribe, unsubscribe, change address, etc.)
   send it to CHEMISTRY-REQUEST@ccl.net or directly to me (jkl@ccl.net,
   JKL@OHSTPY.BITNET)

3) ONLY if you want everybody (i.e. over 1000 people) to get your message,
   send it to CHEMISTRY@ccl.net

List has archives accessible by ftp and e-mail (How? Read the "help" file.).

If you need address of somebody, contact me first (i.e., make a REQUEST !).

Job offeres and CV's do not belong to the list but we maintain files
positions.offered and positions.wanted (Where? How? Read the "help" file).

If you post a question to the list try to "educate" people about the problem.
We can learn from your question if you know what you are talking about.

Last but not least, if someone abuses the list, send the hate mail to this
person directly, but not to the list.
