This workshop is part of the CompBioMed activities. It will cover the latest aspects of Molecular simulations and Machine Learning. It is a real pleasure to welcome so many great speakers (see the list at https://www.mmsml.org/home). We would like to invite you to participate to this unique workshop in Barcelona. The Preliminary Program is available at: https://www.mmsml.org/program Since the workshop has a limited capacity, we recommend you to register soon: https://www.mmsml.org/registration The Acellera team From owner-chemistry@ccl.net Wed May 25 21:24:00 2022 From: "Andrew DeYoung andrewdaviddeyoung]=[gmail.com" To: CCL Subject: CCL: Some bad news ahead for CCL Message-Id: <-54712-220524173245-437-aH2zRFBrqiFkd9P2SSSQEg=server.ccl.net> X-Original-From: Andrew DeYoung Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="00000000000033e67605dfc8b2f5" Date: Tue, 24 May 2022 17:32:33 -0400 MIME-Version: 1.0 Sent to CCL by: Andrew DeYoung [andrewdaviddeyoung:_:gmail.com] --00000000000033e67605dfc8b2f5 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Hi, I agree that not everyone has access to either LinkedIn or Google products. I don't know enough about web development, etc to know for sure if this has already been mentioned here, but I'd like to point out GNU Mailman ( https://list.org/ ). (I'm not sure, but this may be similar to the SourceForge mailing lists that Geoff mentioned a few days ago...) GNU Mailman requires a hosting website, I think, and probably has its own issues, but it's used by a few of the mailing lists I subscribe to: NAMD Mailing List: https://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/namd/mailing_list/ VMD Mailing List: https://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/mailing_list/ GNUplot Mailing List (here's SourceForge!): http://gnuplot.sourceforge.net/docs_4.2/node5.html MPICH Mailing List: https://www.mpich.org/support/mailing-lists/ GNU Mailman gives each subscriber the option to receive messages via email as they come in or to receive messages as a digest sent out periodically. In my opinion, receiving messages in a digest format can be seen either as a feature or a bug. It's a feature in that the subscriber doesn't receive every message as a separate email, but in my opinion this can be seen as a bug as well because one has to actually open said digest email to see the subject lines. It may be just me (busyness? laziness?), but I'm honestly unlikely to actually open a digest email. Whereas with CCL all messages (and their subject lines) appear in my inbox and I open the ones with subjects that catch my attention. And since CCL doesn't put out dozens of messages every day, this is not a problem for my inbox load.
