Are there chemical or quantum chemical causes for the multiple lattices that can take place in a metal's solidification, or are the main forces yielding these lattices purely physical (e.g. pressure, temperature, etc)? Best wishes Sergio --========GMXBoundary212971358587200719555 Content-Type: text/html; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Dear all= , I have noticed that some metals have several lattice types (composed of s= ingle metal species), ranging from rhombic to cubic and other geometries.
