Since the stop of the distribution of SYBYL, I wore my choice on Avogadro / FFE 8.2 / Tinker 8.2 package to replace it. My goal is to have a graphical interface to start the calculations without going through the command mode. However, we encounter installation problems in a multi-user environment on linux and on Windows Virtual machine. We followed the installation instructions of prebuild executables, but we are unable to launch tinker programs either through the GUI or in command mode. first we find an error in FFESetupLinux.sh about the TINKER variable that is not defined. We assume that is the TINKER_HOME variable that must be defined in the PATH. Then we have the following error with all tinker program pdbxyz: error while loading shared libraries: libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory minimize: error while loading shared libraries: libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory etc .. But all our efforts to solve the problem, by modifying the FFE_setuplinux shell, have proved unsuccessful. We solicit your help to enable us to advance and develop the use of FFE / TINKER I specify that the working directory and installation directory are different.
