Folks..

Has anyone installed the Innotek/Sun VMBox under XP as a host, and then
installed any version of Linux?

What about the other way around, say with RH or Ubuntu as host and then
install a version of Windows?

I've used VMWare Workstation for years and it works like a charm.
I use XP as a host and have 7 different virtual machines, including
three flavors of linux.  It costs about $185.

Virtualbox it's great, you need less resources against vmware and it's free.

In XP (as host) you need the binary from virtualbox site, but in Ubuntu, only type:
"sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose".

After that, install the guest additions (if you need it) and that's all.

Windows XP SP2 runs perfect under Unnotek/Sun VMBox Version 1.5.4 on 
SUSEe 10.3 Kernel 2.6.22.18 x86-64 on a HP Compaq 6910p notebook 14´´ 
wide screen with 2 GB memory.
